Knife Making Class – Forging a knife
July 12, 2019 – July 16, 2019
You will learn from ABS journeyman smith, Mike Deibert of Deibert Knives. Mike is also a Forged in Fire Champion.
This 5 day class will take you through Forging, knife geometry, heat treatment, handle mounting, sharpening and leather sheath making. Students will forge 3-4 knives and finishing one to completion while taking the remaining knives home to continue working on.
You will be provided with all tools and safety equipment required to attend the class. Please wear steel-toe footwear and cotton clothing. You will also be required to sign our waiver before class begins.
No prerequisite class required for this class, although we recommend taking having some blacksmithing experience. Must be at least 16+ to attend.
$1850.00 CAD + HST
Course runs 8:30 am to 4:30 pm all days.
