Advanced Blacksmithing Class – Door Hardware

The ability to make your tools is perhaps the single most defining advantage of blacksmiths over other ancient crafts.

Learn to make door hardware ranging from thumb latches to butterfly hinges and strap hinges from Master Blacksmith Robb Martin.

Learn practical applications for creating blacksmith hardware related to doors. You will create the basics of functional metal art that will open new doors of creation that can be taken home and applied to your projects going forward.

You will be provided with all the tools and safety equipment required to attend the class. Please wear steel-toe footwear and cotton clothing. You will also be required to sign our waiver before class begins.

Students need to have a practical understanding of blacksmithing before taking this class. You must be at least 16 to attend.

Prerequisite: Basic Blacksmithing Course

Sixteen hours of Intensive study. The course runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm both days.
